Tommy Bolin
The Ultimate Teaser
Tommy Bolin was a wunderkind/guitar hero of the highest order, born in Sioux City, Iowa and then moving to Denver, where he fronted a band called Zephyr with a female singer named Cindy Givens. He joined James Gang and then Deep Purple - following the legacy of some pretty good guitar players - Joe Walsh and Ritchie Blackmore - and did some outstanding session work with Billy Cobham.
But was his solo records - TEASER and PRIVATE EYES - that triggered his legacy...before he died at the age of 25 in 1976.
“THE ULTIMATE TEASER”—a 3 CD collection featuring a re-mastered version of his classic album along with 2 CDs of outtakes and alternates. Along with the 3 CD TEASER BOX SET, 429 Records has released a 5 CD set, “THE DEFINITIVE TEASER - COLLECTOR’S EDITION” which also includes the 2CD Deluxe version of GREAT GYPSY SOUL—a collection of Bolin songs recorded by a top notch roster of players who signed on to pay tribute to Bolin.
