"Disco Ball" (429)
Here's an updated version of a tune that first appeared
on Saucy Monky's indie release, Celebrity Trash, that
has been reworked for their 429 Records debut, Turbulence,
into a rollicking, rocking track that evokes
late-'80s/early-'90s Alternative, making it perfect
for the core of Triple A's target demo. It's an ode
to the nighttime club world, which provides an escape
from the struggles of day-to-day life in the "real"
world, delivered with strong vocals and a "hyper-ballad"
arrangement that provides enough tension and release
to keep it interesting. Not to mention the obvious good
humor that Saucy Monky injects into all the tracks on
their album.
